The Turmut-Hoer, Gloucester with the Severn Freewheelers The Blood Bikes Project

Project: Severn Freewheelers - The Blood Bikes
Nominated by: The Turmut-Hoer, Gloucester
Total Investment: £4,031

Severn Freewheelers is a free out-of-hours service delivering blood, human tissue, x-rays and medical supplies between hospitals and medical facilities for the NHS. This service covers Gloucester, Hereford and North Wiltshire and operates daily from 7pm – 7am. It’s purely a volunteer-run service, so funding is essential to help pay for necessities like fuel, motorbike upkeep and insurance.

The funds raised will be used to cover the costs of fuel for the entire fleet for 3 months. A celebration event was held at The Turmut Hoer on 17th August 2019, attended by charity volunteers.

Quite simply, we couldn’t have done it without the help of our Sizzling guests! Visit us today to see what else is going on at The Turmut-Hoer.
